Last week I showed you some tiny vignettes of my home as we pull it together. It’s really coming along. We’ve been hanging artwork which to me is the marker that you are making progress.
Our home has a mixture of styles, from vintage furniture with custom upholstery to hand-me downs and some new pieces. One of our favorite new pieces is a cherry platform bed from Charles P. Rogers. I’m fine with Ikea for odds and ends and even desks and such but really wanted a nice bed for the long haul. At night we lean against the back and read. I love the clean modern lines but also the warm/inviting cherry wood.
Charles P. Rogers was a great company to order from. The delivery was fast and the quality of the bed is really special. I just read more about them on their site, they’re the oldest bed source in New York, around since 1855. With a mix of contemporary and classic choices I would definitely recommend a look at their site if you are in the market for a well crafted bed that fits your style. They ship almost everywhere. Happy Monday. There’s a little nip in the air post Hurricane tropical storm Irene. Fall is on it’s way. We spent a lot of time indoors this weekend. I did lots of work on some freelance projects, worked together on the apartment, building things, putting things away and hanging art on the walls and of course we played and read lots with Henry. Tomorrow I’ll do an apartment post.
Blue nail polish seems to be the “it” color this fall. I for one am ready to hop on that band wagon. Here are a few of the blues I can’t wait to try on.
