Back in the swing

We had a marvelous weekend in Portland. It was actually a bit of a whirlwind though, we may have to go back and see more later this summer. Henry and I took a pretty train ride there to meet up with Dave. Got in on Saturday afternoon. Saturday night I had dinner with some inspiring locals Chelsea Fuss, Amy Ruppel and Kate Bingaman-Burt. Check out my Friday post for links to their work/blogs. Came back yesterday evening.

Today Henry started a little summer camp. The play yard has chickens and a rabbit and lovely little garden. I can’t wait to pick him up and hear about his little morning activities. It’s been nice though catching up on work and getting into the swing of working in my little make-shift studio here, with the deck door open and fresh cool air breezing in.

Doesn’t Jane Birkin epitomize summer? She’s so effortlessly chic and cool with a flower tucked behind her ear and the sunlight in her wispy hair:
