Beach dreaming

I’ve recently been playing around with a new, non-watercolor style. I use thin point pens and brush pens to create a black outline drawing and then color digitally and overlay some watercolor details. I thought this new 80’s style summer lovin’ illustration was a fitting way to end the week. I’m thrilled it’s summer. We’ve been hopping a train almost every weekend and spending the day at the beach. It’s heaven, the waves lapping on the shore, white sand, sand castles and peanut butter sandwiches.
