Lisa Congdon at Surtex

I’m visiting the Surtex and Stationery shows this coming Monday to visit the talented Lisa Congdon in Lilla Roger’s booth, a couple of friends from Chronicle Books and Galison (my planner, thank you note set and diary will be in their booth!).

It will be fun to walk the shows this year as “press” versus an “exhibitor”. I’ll get to shmooze and look for great work to share with you, my dear readers! Lisa’s work is featured above. Fabulous isn’t she?!

bow t-shirt for 2K by Gingham

I recently got samples of my new design for 2K by Gingham. The quality is so very good, they’re super soft cotton. I love them. The dolman sleeve is my favorite but I think I’ll wear the tank dress a lot on hot summer days.

confetti system

Confetti system is completely blowing up the spot.

  1. They’re in the Martha Stewart Magazine and on her show, demonstrating how to make their Fringed Favor Box.
  2. Their Gold Wall is included in theStephen Burks | Are You A Hybrid?” exhibition at Museum of Art and Design.
  3. They’re debuting an installation and new collection of objects at W/ gallery. Opening on Thursday, May 19th.
  4. If that was not enough for you,  they created a permanent large scale wall installation at the newly opened Crewcuts Tribeca flagship store.
Check out their tumblr for updates. I’m in awe of them.

Intrepid traveller

intrepid

Despite the chaos that is balancing teaching with illustration jobs with motherhood with plotting our move etc….I’m working on new pieces for a solo show at Gallery Hanahou in the fall. I won’t post many pieces here as I think it will be more fun to share them on the walls of the gallery. Still, from time to time I’d love to give you a sneak peek. Here’s a new piece of a girl with binoculars and an ambiguous subway map loosely based on the London Underground system.

In other news, are you looking to move? Here are snap shots/info about our apartment if you want it when we go.
